C., Thursday, June 28th, 1883, Including Meetings of July 25th and Dec. 13th and 14th, 1883; Also Reports of Receivers Gatling and Hughes The Receiver is notable at this time to report to the Court the actual earnings of the Road during his administration, by reason of the fact that settlements with connecting lines, with the United States Govern ment, and with the Southern Express Company are made at stated intervals only, and the periods of settlements having not yet arrived; and there are also still in the hands of Agents small sums of uncollect ed freights. There are now outstanding some few unpaid claims against him, and there is an action pending for damages on account of the killing of a horse. The Receiver is likewise unable, for the reasons set forth above, to report at this time, a distributed summary of the earnings and disburse ments.
