But even more concerning, Quinn is a vampire, one who has suffered more in his 139 years than she can imagine. It’s weird enough that a slayer and a vampire have grown so close. Anything more could only end in tragedy. At least that’s what she’s been told by other immortals. It’s best if they just stay friends. That’s what she keeps reminding herself, but these feelings aren’t going away. If anything they’re growing. And they terrify her a lot more than the Vampire Assembly who still wants her dead.
