Book excerpt: The short stories within 'FORM F - COMBAT REPORT' are based upon real events from the Battle of Britain. Time and again the pilots of the Royal Air Force were called into action, to fly and defend Great Britain from the relentless attacks of the German air force, the 'Luftwaffe'.The names of the pilots and squadron numbers have been disguised within each of the stories, so as to preserve the privacy of the Officers and Airmen involved. The aerial engagements, as written about, are factual and taken directly from the many 'Form F - Combat Reports' written by every pilot after each sortie. The actual content of each report has been expanded upon and dramatised, within each of my stories you may see deeper into the likely occurrences behind each of the combat reports. My aim is to bring to life an understanding of the dangers of aerial combat, which every pilot faced each time they took to the sky.
