The purpose of this applied research project was to develop a quantitative damage assessment procedure for the City of Durham Fire Department. The author used the descriptive research method to answer the following research questions: 1. What are the quantitative damage assessment procedures that are being used by other departments? 2. What are the required components of a quantitative damage assessment procedure? 3. What additional technologies exist to expedite the quantitative damage assessment process? A review of current literature was conducted.
