Some of the topics covered at the meeting are the following: a selective accumulation of phosphorylated products from a mixture of glucose, mannose and galactose was discovered; a new microorganism of the green serobacteria type has been isolated; the mathematical planning method has been used in formulating the general principals of optimization of nutrient media; a highly active strain of yeasts has been experimentally obtained; it was found possible to use the microbiological method for the leaching of arsenic from concentrates of tin ore; a number of studies have been made on the problem of use of chemical methods in livestock raising.
