Some notable essays include an understanding of the Macquarie years that set a standard for economic development that became hard to follow. The many statutes enacted by Westminster Parliament in establishing the colony are examined as is the rise of the pastoralist and squatter in the colony. These entire special features of the economy helped set up the economic drivers that created such a successful economy.
