This book was released on 1974 with total page 28 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The distorted-wave Born approximation has been used with some success recently in predicting the radar cross section of turbulent wakes illuminated at small aspect angles. In this model the actual incident electric field within the turbulent plasma is replaced by the electric field that would be present if the random electron density (n sub e) in the plasma is replaced by the average electron density (n (ave) sub e). (This field is then used in the right-hand side of the integral equation for the scattered field to obtain the scattering cross section.).
