Yes, they really happened to the kids, including the hooded fi gure. In spite of my own experiences, I cannot imagine the terror the children went through growing up. I realize that I had no idea to the extent of things until one day, we (the children and I) started talking about it. It was terrifying and had a lifelong effect on them. Being a writer, though, I naturally thought, “great book idea!” So, with their consent and armed with (our) stories, I have penned, The Haunting of a Family.
