In May 1940 they were interned in Westerbork, where they made every effort to maintain religious practices. Dzialoszynski was sent to Gross-Rosen, and then on a death march to Bergen-Belsen, where she was liberated. After the war she discovered that one sister and one brother, who were twins, had survived. She married Avraham Dzialoszynski, whose account of his escape from Vichy France to Switzerland and his stay there are included on pp. 197-234.
