A horizontal arm which bears the body of the microscope slides to and fro on the top of the vertical pillars. There is an oval plane mirror and a 2-inch condenser beneath the stage. In a separate box are opaque objects, stage forceps, and a stage condenser. The instrument is described and figured in Pritchard's microscopic Illustrations, 1830.
