Also discussed is epidemiologic evidence that associates lunger cancer with occupational exposure to diesel engine emissions. On the basis of the results of these studies, NIOSH recommends that whole diesel exhaust be regarded as a potential occupational carcinogen in conformance with the OSHA Cancer Policy (29 CFR 1990).
