Fourthly, to the addition of various formulae which the experience of the Editor has proved to be highly valuable. In its present shape the Editor hopes that the work will be found useful to a large circle of practitioners of medicine, who will find in it not only suggestions as to the remedies to be used in the treatment of disease, but formulae by the use of which those suggestions may be carried out.
