It should be noted that the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS) and the Naval Control of Shipping Organization (NCSORG) qualifications outlined are in addition to the requirements for all 1105 officers outlined in NAVPERS 15988-1. The conclusion reached was that the addition of type warfare qualifications for Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS) and Naval Control of Shipping Organization (NCSORG) is a logical step of professional training in the professional development system.
