Book excerpt: After some twenty-five years accumulating the cancellations of Basutoland and Lesotho, the author decided that the time had come to share the information with others. The author felt that the presentation should be more than a series of reproductions with terse descriptions of their types. An effort has been made to add interest by including little snippets of the post offices and agencies. Some are of Bushman origin and it would take a better man than the author to fathom out the meanings. Even some of the Sesotho names created problems as many of them were given in the last century and the people of today found difficulty in establishing the origin.
