This division is strange and illogical because the two activities are not only linked, but intermeshed. This book will be an attempt to show how indispensable reading poetry is to writing it and vice versa. The text will be divided into three sections. The first section will be comprised of advice from his own experience on reading poetry to children at KS1 and KS2. The second section will comprise of case studies of children responding to poetry and will show how much children can actually understand. The last section will be comprised of a case study af children writing poems.
